The Perversion of Words and Language
We tend to sort, categorize and label everything. It is our way to try to fantasize that we can create order in a world with the illusion we can control things. As part of our attempt to create an artificial social order that accommodates our own worldview, we like to appropriate and expropriate language and instead of using words consistent with its textbook definition, we hijack and propagandize words and use them as weapons of social and mass destruction and oppression.
For example, if one was to check the Merriam-Webster dictionary and look up the term liberalism you would find a definition reading: a political philosophy based on belief in progress, the essential goodness of the human race, and the autonomy (see AUTONOMY sense 2) of the individual and standing for the protection of political and civil liberties.
If you were to then check the definition of AUTONOMY you would find: self-directing freedom and especially moral independence.
It is curious that liberals today do not practice liberalism. Therefore are not really liberals. They do not believe in the basic goodness of the human race. Actually there entire justification for the existence is that the human race sucks; EXCEPT FOR THEM. That is how they justify such an intrusive government, regulatory state, surveillance state and a gatekeeper society. They sell fear. We should fear each other. Distrust each other. That we would be at war with each other with the intervention of the government. That we are uncivilized and only civilized by government.
They expropriate our autonomy. They have eroded our civil liberties. They reject self-directing freedom. And are hostile to moral independence. Their definition is living by their rules. And adopting whatever version they describe as a moral code.
If we were to further explore the Merriam-Webster definition for the word tyrant, we would find the following definition: 1a: an absolute ruler unrestrained by law or constitution, b: a usurper of sovereignty, 2a: a ruler who exercises absolute power oppressively or brutally, b: one resembling an oppressive ruler in the harsh use of authority or power.
“Liberals” organize mobs and embrace a cancel culture with the objective of subordinating and subjugating those that do not acknowledge their ideology. They work to deplatform, demonetize, dehumanize and demonize all those that disagree with their narrative. And they will resort to force. As many have justified looting.
They do not tolerate dissent. They are at war with the individual. The sovereign individual. You must join their collective. You “freedom and liberty” depends upon that. You have no inalienable rights. Only privileges they can give and take way at their discretion. They do not feel bounded or constrained by the Constitution as they claim their rights, power and authority the same ways monarchs did. Belief in their own divinity.
In other words, so-called liberals and progressives are actually tyrants and regressive. Progression is self-government. We regress when we revert back to a more authoritarian government.
Further, these regressive tyrants promote social injustice in the name of social justice. Another example of the appropriation and expropriation of words and language and weaponize them as weapons of propaganda.
Hayek stated that: “[A]ny deliberate attempt to correct the distribution according to supposed principles of social justice, is ultimately irreconcilable with a free society....It's completely empty. I'm convinced it's completely empty. You see, justice is an attribute of human action, not of the state of affairs, and the application of the term social justice assumes a judgment of the justice of a state of affairs irrespective of how it has been brought about. That deprives it of its meaning.”
“Social engineering” is inconsistent with a free society. And the attempt to socially engineer society is not accomplished voluntarily but by force and coercion.
Lysander Spooner wrote: “A man's natural rights are his own, against the whole world; and any infringement of them is equally a crime; whether committed by one man, or by millions; whether committed by one man, calling himself a robber, or by millions calling themselves a government.”
I personally do not find it social nor just for anyone to take my property without my personal and explicit consent. When people see mutual benefit, win/win; they voluntarily exchange. All parties deem themselves better off after they exchange. Their needs, wants and desires are satisfied. Everyone is happy. It is the highest form of expression with respect to our freedom and liberty. The most advanced state in the Maslow Pyramid.
Government regresses us to the lowest state of the Maslow Pyramid. Selling fear. More fear. And even more fear. Selling us that we are at the basest state of nature and only government can protect us and elevate us. We are not self-sovereign. They are our sovereign. We are not citizens in a self-governing Constitutional Republic but subjects to their whims.
Their calculus is win/lose. That is why coercion is required. Rational people would not voluntarily transact of their own free will.
Mainstream media hijacks and expropriates language solely for the purpose of propaganda. They pervert the meaning and ideology behind so many words and concepts. Distortions. Perversions. And prevarications. The objective is to incite and foment anger and intimidation of those who dare to dissent and disagree.
They are not liberals. They are not progressive. They are regressive, authoritarian tyrants. And there only rule of engagement is that the ends justifies the means.
A just society is about process. A process all have explicitly agreed to, consented to and authorized. That is social. Seeking the consent of others. That is just. Seeking the consent of others.
Never concede the true meaning of words. Whoever controls the vocabulary, controls the conversation. Honest expression is precise and appeals to reason. True liberals, classical liberals (whose writings inspired our founders and our Constitution) have little use for propaganda, they are self-sovereign and do not desire sovereignty over others. Tyrants need to control language and the flow of information. They need to own the narrative to control everything else. They require oppression and suppression.
